7 Days Kenya Classic Safari

Your safari begins with a warm welcome in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley to the legendary Masai Mara. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch, then embark on your first thrilling afternoon game drive. Witness the golden savannahs come alive with elephants, lions, zebras, and perhaps even the elusive leopard.

Spend the entire day exploring the wonders of Masai Mara. With both morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have the best chance of spotting the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino – as well as cheetahs and an incredible variety of plains game. Depending on the season, you may even witness the dramatic wildebeest migration across the Mara River. Optional activities include a hot-air balloon safari at sunrise or a visit to a Maasai village to experience local culture.

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed game drive as you exit Masai Mara, then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its birdlife and rhino sanctuary. Arrive in time for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive. Keep your eyes open for endangered white and black rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. Lake Nakuru’s alkaline waters attract numerous bird species, including pelicans and flamingos when in season.

After breakfast, depart for the nearby Lake Naivasha, a tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by lush vegetation. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a boat ride on the lake (optional), where you can spot hippos, water birds, and even giraffes and zebras grazing along the shores. You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among wildlife. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, allowing you to relax by the lake.

Today, journey south to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain. Arrive at your lodge/camp in time for lunch before enjoying an afternoon game drive. Capture stunning photographs of elephants silhouetted against the backdrop of snow-capped Kilimanjaro.

Enjoy a full day of exploration in Amboseli. Morning and afternoon game drives take you across diverse landscapes – from swamps to open plains – where you’ll encounter lions, cheetahs, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a rich variety of birdlife. Amboseli is especially known for close encounters with elephants, making it a photographer’s paradise. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and soak in the incredible views of Kilimanjaro.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a leisurely drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. No game drive is scheduled on this day. Depending on your schedule, you may be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight.
