6 Days Masai Mara & Great Rift Lakes Safari

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up in Nairobi, followed by a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with stops for breathtaking views. Continue to the Masai Mara, arriving at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Mara, where you’ll spot elephants, zebras, giraffes, and perhaps big cats stalking their prey. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Spend the day exploring the wonders of the Masai Mara. Early morning and afternoon game drives will maximize your chances of encountering the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside cheetahs, hyenas, and diverse antelopes.

During the Great Migration (July–October), witness the dramatic river crossings as wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-filled waters. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your adventure. Return for dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Enjoy another full day in the Mara to deepen your safari experience. Your guide will take you to new areas of the reserve, ensuring you encounter different wildlife and scenery. Capture memorable photos of the golden savannah, herds of elephants, and predators in action.

Optional activities include a sunrise hot air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast, or a cultural visit to a Maasai village to learn about their traditions and way of life. Overnight at your lodge.

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a jewel of the Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru is renowned for its rhino sanctuary and seasonal flocks of flamingos that paint the lake pink. Other highlights include Rothschild’s giraffes, zebras, lions, and over 400 bird species. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, take a short drive to Lake Naivasha, another Rift Valley gem. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge by the lake. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, spotting hippos, fish eagles, and kingfishers.

You may also visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests in a predator-free environment. Dinner and overnight at your lodge on the lake’s shores.

After a relaxed breakfast, check out from your lodge and begin your return journey to Nairobi. Arrive by early afternoon, with a drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
